Note: Adjusted calendar adopted by the Board of Education on April 30, 2026 (181 instructional days per the board-adopted calendar). Monday, August 24, 2026 is a Student Transition Day only for some students (family calendar: grades K, 1, 6 and 9 and students new to MCPS; list-view calendar: students entering grades K, 6 and 9, grade 3 in schools serving only grades 3-5, and students new to a school or MCPS); August 25 is the first day for all grades. November 23-24 are early release days for parent/teacher conferences. Inclement weather make-up days, in order: April 22 and May 17 (both currently no school), then June 14-17 added to the end of the year. The April 30 amendment moved the last day from Wednesday, June 16 to Friday, June 11 (superintendent's memo of April 30, 2026).
